Hey Y'all
First, thank you for being here. Let me tell you a little about me. I have been a coordinator and executive assistant my entire life. I am the eldest child of 8 and first girl for an entire generation of rowdy boys. I've been the planning committee, food runner, decorator, and host for a number of events throughout my life.
May of 2022 I arrived in Cancun for my uncles' wedding thinking that he and his wife would need my help for small things like guest arrivals and handing out welcome bags. It turns out that both the planner and coordinator provided were less than apathetic. I spent the next 5 days coordinating a destination wedding in Mexico with no prior knowledge.
Those 5 days were some of the most stressful of my life. Day 5 was the wedding and this photo was taken while the reception hall - full of all 200 people in attendance - clapped and cheered for how I handled all of their problems all week.
In that moment I couldn't do anything more than grin and cry at the realization that I truly did handle everything by myself in Mexico! I still don't truly believe how that week went but I have 200+ witnesses that are just as happy to see me as I was to help them.
I take a lot of pride in my work because I am usually just as nervous for an event as the client. I was born to be of service to others and I'm finding a lot of happiness in completing my mission well.
